the related and interacting aspects of reality.

Standstill
It is
truly a very great blessing and gift for you and
your ex-husband to be able to get together in the
present, with greater expression of love and
compassion for each other. However, we are NOT
able to encourage you with regard to future
happiness and fulfillment in your relationship
together.
It is
interesting to see the image of Standstill appear
as the first of the two images that we have drawn
for you from our I Ching Oracle. In this image,
the oracle describes what may be called a state
of complete “entropy” as the scientists
say. This word describes the state of things
after the Universe expands to its farthest
dimension and all the stars run out of fuel and
there is perfect darkness and cold. In other
words, there is NO future coming out of what is
described in this image. Of course, this is a
very narrow view of the image, and in the nature
of things, at least in the Chinese view of the
Universe, the state of Standstill is only one
among many, and it comes and goes along with the
rest in a never ending flux of on-again-off-again
energy.
In the
application of the image to your specific
situation, the image of Standstill shows that, in
your relationship with your ex-husband, the
“Yin” and “Yang” of things,
the male and female of things, do not make a
productive connection. Think of an electric
battery. It contains immense potential energy,
but it’s just a useless heavy weight if
there is no connection between the positive and
the negative pole. Your life will reach a new
level of creative development when you make the
connection that you have been looking for with
the right “significant other,” i.e. the
beloved of your dreams.
