the related and interacting aspects of reality.

Revolution
It is
clear that you may expect a fairly radical change
in direction in your career. Its newness is
implicit in the image of Revolution, which we
have drawn for you from our Chinese Oracle, the
so called I Ching, or Book of Changes. In the
so-called Judgment verse that is associated with
the image of Revolution, the oracle says,
“Revolution. On your own day you are
believed. Supreme success. Furthering through
perseverance. Remorse disappears.” You can
easily see that this amounts in general to a very
excellent portent for you under the
circumstances. But it may be clearer to you in
its particular meaning through the words of
another translation of this verse. To wit,
“Revolution will be trusted on the day of
completion. It is very successful, beneficial if
correct. Regret vanishes.”
In other
words, you may be insecure now, and worried or
unsure of yourself in the face of major changes.
But when these changes are fully accomplished, be
assured, you will enjoy great good fortune in it
all. The idea of change (revolution) is
vindicated by its success. This is what
“trusted” means. Trust is so important
in times of revolution. Spartacus had a slave
revolution in ancient Rome, and since he failed
and was crucified, it was never tried again
through the remaining years of the empire
(hundreds of years). But your change will give
revolution a good name, and when it is complete
you will trust more in yourself and in the very
idea of change.
In the
verse that is highlighted specifically for you by
today’s Reading from the image of
Revolution, the oracle says, "Wrapped in the
hide of a yellow cow.” This means that hasty
and precipitate decisions should NOT be made.
Take your time. You may do some temporary work,
or have some temporary jobs, before the big
change happens. When this verse is emphasized,
the image tends to be transformed into another
image called Influence. Listen to the central
verse associated with this image. “Thus the
superior person encourages other people to
approach her, by her readiness to receive
them.” A cup cannot be filled unless it is
first made empty. When the time is ripe and when
you are perfectly “ready,” a trumpet
will sound, and you will be called.
