the related and interacting aspects of reality.

Inner Truth
How
clearly this is echoed in the images that we have
drawn for you from the Chinese oracle, the images
of Treading and of Inner Truth! Thus, the verse
that is highlighted specifically for you in the
commentaries associated with the image of
Treading says, “He treads on the tail of the
tiger. Caution and circumspection lead ultimately
to good fortune.” There may be something
incompatible between you and your prospective
partner that is not apparent to you at this time.
However, it is important NOW for you to be very
objective and detached in your evaluation of the
person in question. One of the central verses
connected with the image of Treading says,
“The image of Treading. Thus the superior
man discriminates between high and low.”
Moreover, there is a need for very honest
self-appraisal at the same time. And, isn’t
it true that an inner voice is telling you that
the obstacles to further progress in your
business do NOT rest on the need for a partner? I
would add our own intuition that those obstacles
won’t necessarily be removed by a partner.
And, other obstacles of equal weight may replace
what is cleared away, so that you may find
yourself in essentially the same boat you’re
in now.
The
image of Inner Truth certainly confirms what has
been said above, and more besides. Thus, the
central verse associated with this image says,
“The image of Inner Truth. Thus the superior
man discusses criminal cases in order to delay
executions.” Of course, the phrase
“criminal cases” probably implies
something beyond what is at stake here.
Criminality is not precisely the issue. Perhaps
the oracle chooses this terminology in order to
impress upon you the seriousness of what is being
considered. In any case, it tends to echo our
concern for the legal structure of the agreements
you envision between you and your partner, which
as we said require much more study and
reflection. Moreover, we would direct your
attention to the verse that is highlighted
specifically for you by this Reading from the
image of Inner Truth. It says, “The team
horse goes astray.” This speaks very
directly to the potential outcome in this
particular proposed partnership. Be cautious, and
heed this warning.
