The Images (Hexagrams) of the I Ching Oracle in Psychic Readings

Psychic Readings from The Psychic Internet often feature images drawn from the I Ching Oracle. To offer supplementary information about these images for our clients, and for the public, we have provided this archive of brief articles.

The abstract images of the I Ching Oracle (usually called "hexagrams") symbolize all of the related and interacting aspects of reality. In the following excerpts from actual Psychic Readings, the images of the I Ching are discussed.

After Completion

Another translation for the name of the second of the two images that we have drawn for you today from our I Ching Oracle – that is, After Completion - would be “Settling.” This is the name that is given in the translation that we often refer to in these Readings for you – from Chung Yi’s “Tao of Organization,” translated by the very great Thomas Cleary. And in the pairing of the names of these two images (Waiting and After Completion) you have, in essence, the very simple message that I referred to above: WAIT until things SETTLE.

Now, our feeling is that the issues surrounding the investment in question may have a certain “personal” dimension for you. There may be one woman in particular, with whom you have a very excellent and positive relationship, and whom you may wish to please with a more favorable judgment on the matter at hand (favorable from HER point of view). This is why, in the so-called After Completion verse associated with the image of Waiting – in fact the verse that is highlighted specifically for you by today’s Reading – the oracle says, “Waiting on the sand. There is some gossip. The end brings good fortune.”

In evaluating this verse for your specific situation, it should be noted that the last two of the three sentences carry a somewhat subsidiary significance. They suggest that, probably because of the personal relationship referred to above, your personal attitude will come into question in the way that it might were people to gossip about you with little real understanding for who you are and what motivates you. Gossip is always that way, slightly off the mark. That’s why it is so insidious and damaging as a rule. But it is important to note also that in this particular instance, according to the judgment of the oracle with regard to your specific situation, the gossip is something that “goes in one ear and comes out the other,” as the saying goes. It has very transient interest or importance.

Your real motivations have to be determined by deep realities and long-range comprehension of the probabilities that are embedded in the course of events. If “the end brings good fortune,” it is only because you will have been able to manifest that kind of wisdom, and bring it to bear in the personal control that you exercise over your affairs. Mere personal considerations ought not make you move. You have a larger good in mind, and you are faithful to it above all other things.

The deeper realities of your situation with regard to the investment in question are determined by the fact, as noted above, that conditions in the markets have not yet settled – there is a lot of figurative “dust” in the air, obscuring vision. This poses a substantial problem for people who see only the surface of things. They build their “castles in the sand,” as the saying goes. Sand is not settled, nor is anything that is built on it.
