The Abysmal

In today’s Reading about your upcoming week in business, we see the signs both of danger and of the need for restraint. Often, when the I Ching Oracle describes situation of some danger, it counsels action to get out of danger, and that is true of the image of The Abysmal in general. But in the specific aspects of that image we find highlighted by today’s Reading, the counsel is just the opposite. The image of The Abysmal contains within it the image of the Mountain, which is called Keeping Still. When a danger is FIRST presenting itself, it may be necessary to stop for the moment, considering all the options and waiting for the right time to respond. This is the case in this Reading about the week that lies ahead of you.
