Ceremonia: Vibe therapy with ancient instruments

I’m writing this while the sound of a 30-pound bumblebee drones through my head and angel voices surround me. There’s a counterpoint of clicks and the occasional huff of an ocarina. It is strangely peaceful and powerfully primitive. In theory, at least, it is also healing.
Those sounds are part of a CD called Ceremonia, a "sacred sound journey performed with ancient indigenous instruments." That includes an Australian didgeridoo, Tibetan bowls, an ocarina made from dinosaur bone, a Mayan drone ohm flute, a wind wand, conch shells, hand drums, rattles, ocean waves and other unusual musical devices.
It all seems very New Age, but if you can get past the judgments of your mind and simply listen with your ears you’ll feel the rhythms reach inside your heart, the harmonic vibrations resonate through you, and you’ll feel yourself unwind.
There’s a warning on the CD that Ceremonia "can induce an altered state of consciousness, listening while driving is not recommended." That’s good advice because there’s a certain transporting quality to the music.
The instruments in this sound journey are played by René Jenkins, a highly regarded professional musician, ceremonial sound practitioner and healing performance artist from Sonoma, and Janet Janay Cipriani, a "Certified Angel Therapy Practitioner" and sound healer.
Jenkins and Cipriani conduct sound healing ceremonies in Sonoma and around the world. Called "Vibe Therapy," the process involves playing traditional instruments over and around people’s bodies. And, apparently, inside their heads.

More feedback:
"It's a primordial lullaby...a song of the soul from the planet. It really goes deep!"

Ayni, featuring two sound healers from the south & north America continents, Tito La Rosa and René Jenkins, come together for an evening concert of improvisation and ceremony. Playing ancient instruments (condor bone flute, pututo, feather quill queña, didjeridu, zampoña, drum and more), they call to awaken a deeper sense of aliveness, and whisper an invitation to commune with the Spirit of Ayni. Recorded live at San Francisco's Main Post Chapel in the Presidio, and released in October 2004. "Ayni" means sacred reciprocity in Quechua.
